FAQ

👶 About Kids & Play

Q: Is this a daycare? Can I drop my kids off?
A: Nope! We’re more like a bookstore-meets-playground. That means grownups stay and supervise their kids during regular hours. We do host monthly drop-off nights — they’re ticketed events and you can [reserve a spot here].

Q: Play passes? How do they work?
A: Once a kid uses a pass, it’s good for the entire day. No hand stamps — just a name on the list. Pass packs aren’t tied to a single child, so they’re easy to share with siblings, friends, or neighbors.

Q: How many grown-ups can come in?
A: As many as you like! One pass covers one child and their grown-ups. We just ask everyone to be mindful of space and other families.

Q: Does everyone need socks?
A: Yes — bare feet aren’t hygienic, and socks (preferably grip socks) keep everyone safer. We only require grip socks for children, but Bluebird grip socks are available at the front and recommended for everyone.

Q: Where can we eat snacks?
A: You’re welcome to eat and drink in the entryway or out on the patio. We just ask that no food be brought onto the indoor play floor.

🏠 Location & Logistics

Q: You guys are upstairs?
A: We are! Our suite is right above Bar 1502, overlooking Niagara Avenue. There are three stair access points: at the corner, in the parking lot, and near the alley entrance.

Q: What about strollers and the stairs?
A: You’re welcome to bring strollers up (let us know if you need help — 619-354-0204) or park them downstairs. Bluebird Books, our bookstore for grown-ups, has a lounge in back, so feel free to use it!

Q: Where’s the parking lot? Can I use it?
A: Yes! It’s on the back side of the building, accessible via the alley between Niagara and Narragansett. The spaces are a little snug and it gets busy in the evenings, but there’s usually a spot open. Look for the stairwell tucked in the far corner.
